I’m glad you’re here! I invite you to travel with me to some of the most beautiful places in the world via the Internet. I love being on foot, hiking, backpacking, and snow-shoeing.

I have a lot of adventures in store for me in 2024 – I started with a bang at Death Valley, getting to walk out into Manly Lake at Badwater Basin (there hasn’t been water there since 2005). I’ll be re-visiting many favorite places in the Pacific Northwest as well as exploring new locations throughout the year.

As always, yoga is a part of my travels. To learn more about my yoga journey, visit YogaForRealPeople.   I’ve also become an ACE Certified Health Coach, and have taken on a new position at the YMCA as a health coach, where I get to share my love of movement with others.

Happy Trails!!!!   ~~ Andrea ~~

Thanks Dennis! I’m so fortunate that I’ve been able to bounce back from eight knee surgeries and still keep hiking and backpacking and snow-shoeing.

My time has come. TTT MPFL and LPFL (Maybe) Dr. Robert A. Teitge, MD Feb 2nd. Strange my knees have been feeling good this winter. My wife thinks it is trying to escape. I never had a problem with frequent dislocation. Just really bad pain for long periods of sitting and exercise induced pain. Hoping for the best. I know you had doubts when you went on good hikes before. How are they now?

I’ve heard good things about Dr. Teitge 🙂 I had TTT and lateral release, but no MPFL or LPFL. The rehab was long and hard, but it gave me my life back and I’m doing things now that I never thought I’d be able to do. Just played racquetball this morning, and could NEVER have done that before. While you’re in rehab, make a list of the things that you want to do that would have been too painful before, and focus on those. It’ll help you get through all those PT appointments and give you some good goals to focus on. Good luck!
