Our day at Paradise, Mt. Rainier, started out in fog, but that didn’t really matter because I’ve never seen the wildflowers so intense as they have been this year. It was sensory overload from the minute we stepped out of the parking lot. We hiked up to Panorama Point, and then further up on the High Skyline Trail, looped down to Mazama Ridge, and back to Paradise. We didn’t break out of the clouds until the very top of High Skyline, but from there the view was stunning, again seeing to Mt. Adams and even a glimpse of Mt. Hood in Oregon. And the flowers!!! Did I mention the wildflowers!?!?!
